- Early Action (EA) is the option to submit your applications before the regular deadline. Early Action plans are not binding.
- Early Decision is an option to apply to your first-choice college before the regular deadlines. Early Decisions are binding, meaning you agree to enroll in the college immediately.
- Restrictive Early Action (REA) is non-binding and does not want you to apply to any other binding programs at the same time. REA applications are typically due in November.
- Open Admission is a policy of accepting any high school graduate, no matter what their grades are. Almost all two-year community colleges have an Open Admission policy.
- Rolling Admission is a policy of considering each application as soon as all required information has been received.
- The waitlist is the list of applicants who may be admitted if space becomes available.
- Articulation Agreement is between two-year and four-year colleges, making it easier to transfer credits.
